Technical Service and Trades

A breakdown and a routine service request arrive on the same line and do not carry the same priority. A team in the field cannot make that distinction over the phone.

What it does on the phone

  • Separates the urgent — "there is water everywhere" and "a service booking" do not land in the same box; the urgent one reaches you marked urgent
  • Routes to the right engineer — who handles what, and whether they are free
  • Prices from a measurement — square metres, metres, kilos; you enter the rule once and it does the arithmetic
  • Books the service visit — with a day and a time, written into the diary
  • Keeps a device record — which customer has which unit and what was done to it before

A busy day

On a day when temperatures fall, nineteen calls arrive; fourteen concern heating faults. Four are marked urgent and passed straight to the responsible person; the rest are booked in.

What the setup opens

Appointments, staff transfer, urgency triage, message taking and price calculation from a measurement.
