These are the questions we are asked most. The answers are short and unvarnished — where something cannot be done, we say so.

Getting started

What does Almon actually do?
It answers your business line. It picks up in the first second, talks, books appointments, takes orders, quotes prices, works out a price from a measurement, recognises the caller, and passes anything it cannot handle to the right member of your team as a note. It also calls out when you want it to. Every conversation lands in your panel with its recording, its summary and its transcript.
How long does setup take? What do I have to do?
You do not configure anything — you describe your business. We ask six plain questions: Do you sell products or services? How do you work with customers? Is there something customers bring you? Does the same product come in variants? Do you take recurring payments? Do you keep a book of credit? Your answers decide which parts of the panel open. Nothing that does not concern your business appears on your screen.
What documents do I need to start?
As a sole trader: ID and tax certificate. As a company: tax certificate, signature circular, trade registry gazette and certificate of activity. You upload them during setup.
I am not technical. Can I use it?
Most of our users had never seen a panel like this — manufacturers, restaurateurs, hairdressers, toolmakers. Almon Assistant sits inside the panel: you write what you want done and it does it. "Add a haircut at 600 lira" is enough.

The phone and the number

How does the number work? Can I keep my own?
The system talks over the internet, so it needs a SIP-capable line — a mobile or an ordinary landline cannot be connected directly. You take a SIP line from your operator. You do not have to give up your existing number: you forward it to that line, your customers still ring the number they know, and Almon answers.
Which number do my customers see when Almon calls them?
The SIP line's number. Forwarding only works for incoming calls; outgoing calls can technically only leave over the SIP line, not over the mobile or landline number you forwarded. So where outbound calling matters, publishing the SIP number directly brings both directions onto one number.
Can I have more than one line?
Yes. For each line you choose separately whether Almon answers calls to it, whether Almon calls out from it, and which line takes priority for outgoing calls.
How many people can it talk to at once?
There is no limit. If fifty people ring at once it talks to all fifty. Nobody queues and nobody gets an engaged tone.
Can it call my customers itself?
Yes. You build a call list and Almon works through it. You set the calling hours and the daily cap.
What happens when it cannot handle something?
It writes the request down, marks it normal or urgent, and passes it to the right person on your team. Nobody is hung up on and nobody is told to call back later.
Can it transfer to a member of staff?
Yes. It knows who handles what and whether they are free, and puts the call through to the right person.

What it can do

Can it book appointments?
It checks the free slots for the day first, then opens the booking. The appointment goes straight into the panel's calendar. It can also list existing bookings and cancel them.
Can it take orders?
Yes. It collects the product, the quantity and the delivery address. If the caller has ordered before it does not ask again — it uses the address on file.
Can it quote prices? Can it calculate from a measurement?
Both. It reads out product and service prices, and if you price by square metre, metre, kilo or unit it does the arithmetic on the call.
Can it reserve a table, a room or a pitch?
Yes. It checks capacity, finds a suitable one and reserves it. For restaurants, hotels, five-a-side pitches and courts.
Does it recognise the caller?
If they have called before, yes: their name, their address on file, their past orders and appointments. It can also mention an outstanding balance — that switch is yours, and you can leave it off.
Can it give stock, shipping and returns information?
Yes. Whether the item is in stock, how long delivery takes and what the returns window is.
Does it work on WhatsApp too?
It does. Same memory, same knowledge, same panel. You can take over a conversation at any point and the customer sees who is writing.
What can it not do?
It does not take payments. It does not enter into legal commitments on your behalf. It does not invent a product or a service you have not defined — asked about something it does not know, it takes a note and passes it to you.

The panel

Do I have to learn the panel?
No. Almon Assistant sits inside it and works by conversation: it adds products, services, staff, customers, appointments, orders, shipments, credit entries, subscriptions and cash movements; it lists, updates and deletes them. It also takes you to whichever page you are looking for.
Is adding a product hard?
You give the name, the price and what it is for. Almon Assistant writes the benefits, the answers to the usual objections, the delivery and returns windows, and even the phonetic reading so the name is pronounced correctly on the phone.
Do I have to type in my price list line by line?
No. Upload a photograph or a PDF and it reads what is in it, then asks which of them to add.
Can the assistant create records on its own?
It cannot. Nothing is saved until you press the confirmation card on screen. It also cannot claim to have done something it has not — that rule is written into the system.
Can I give staff limited access?
Yes. There are twenty-four separate permission areas, set in bulk by role template and then narrowed one by one. You can also grant temporary access for a fixed date range.
Can I see what was said?
Every conversation keeps its recording, its transcript and its summary in the panel. You also see what was done on your behalf during that call — a sale, a booking, an order — with the amount.

Data, security and the law

Can I decide what Almon has access to?
Yes, and separately for the phone and for WhatsApp. Products and prices, stock, appointments, orders, customer details and your own record types are each switched on or off individually. If you want to sell something on WhatsApp only, you turn the phone off for it.
Are conversations recorded?
The recording and the transcript are kept, and both are visible only in your panel. Your customers must be told that calls are recorded — we set your call flow up accordingly.
Where is my data held?
Your data is held on servers inside the European Union, in the Frankfurt (Germany) region. Under Turkish data protection law this is a transfer abroad, and it is stated plainly in our data protection notice.
Is calling my customers legal?
Commercial calling in Turkey requires consent registered with the Message Management System (İYS). The system enforces it: a campaign cannot be started against a list without that consent. A do-not-call list is kept, and calling hours and daily volume can be capped.
Can I see who did what in the panel?
Every change is logged: which record, which field changed, who did it, under which role, from which IP address and when.

Pricing

How is it charged?
By use. Phone conversations are charged by the minute spoken; WhatsApp is charged per conversation. You see your balance in the panel and top it up whenever you like. Packages come in several sizes.
What happens if my balance runs out?
You are warned when it drops below your threshold. You can also switch on an automatic stop when it reaches zero.
Where can I see prices?
Leave a demo request. We will look at your business and talk through the right setup and the right price together — an honest number needs the business behind it first.

If your question is not answered here, ask us — we will talk it through on a demo call.
